Madison Denbrock is a composer with a passion for bringing worlds to life through music, specializing in video games and interactive media. Currently working at Voice & Script International (VSI) as a dubbing producer in localization.
Her path in audio has been as varied as her inspirations. At Igloo Music in Burbank, CA, Madison was introduced to the world of voice-over and dialogue localization. She worked with clients such as Insomniac as part of their audio QC for their recorded audio assets. She also worked as a music producer for 3 songs for the Disney+ series, “Playback.”
Before her dialogue localization work, she served as session coordinator at Berklee College of Music in Boston, MA. She managed the recording orchestral ensemble for the screen scoring department, assisted the recording engineers, and supported the administrative team at the screen scoring department.
She has a strong foundation in implementation, with practical experience in Wwise and developing custom audio scripts in Unity. Madison approaches composition with technical integration in mind, ensuring her music is structured for seamless in-game implementation.
Madison values knowledge sharing as an essential part of the industry. No gatekeeping here. She is a dedicated advocate for diversity in music and technology, and has served as a Unity/Construct 2 counselor with Girls Make Games—mentoring young female and non-binary developers in the end-to-end process of designing and building 2D games from the ground up.
When she’s not composing, you’ll find her painting, building microphones, exploring new bands/composers, learning how to play new instruments, and designing her own audio patches. Her influences stretch from dreamy pop soundscapes to acoustic folk to sweeping orchestral scores, all woven together to create her own signature sound.
